Judson's turn

Spending some time with Daddy
His wonderful "black eye". He was playing in the other room and was sitting up and has not mastered the transition to getting to his stomach yet. He either flopped over and hit this barn toy he was playing with or the base of a coat rack. He cried a little but really not much for the mark that was left behind. What can I say, he is a great kid!!

Not to shaken up by the events of the day!

Ellie's first black eye and of course it had to happen while I had her. She is just moving so much and pulling up on everything that she falls a lot and runs into things a lot. This day she had pulled herself up on a stool and then fell and hit one of the bars on the way down.

They are getting so big!

Grandma Dee and Grandpa Roger were in town so Judson had to wear his Iowa gear!!

The do actually play nice a lot of the time! :)

Now that he is scooting he loves to roll and scoot under our bed. Almost every time he is in our room he finds his way under the bed!

He can not get to a sitting position by himself but if you put him in one then he is doing a great job of being able to stay there. He is also starting to figure out how to transition to his stomach for scooting around with out just face planting.

When he is motivated...

The camera was to focused at first so sorry about the crazy start. And I was home alone so to move him back I again had to get so close. But hey I cought it!!

When there is something that Judson really wants he now is able to get to it. Last night we were hanging out in the bedroom and he found some papers that Nate had left on the floor and REALLY wanted them. He was able to scoot himself over to them. It was so fun to watch him and I am glad that I was able to get the camera out while he was still interested. But I am not ready for him to be a mover yet!!

More on Judson

Well Nate and I took Judson to Milkworks last night to weigh him again and he is now up to 14 pounds 6 ounces!! It is very exciting that he is gaining weight. I am sure that at this rate will it will not be long at all before he is caught up to where he needs to be. We have a more official weigh in Monday with the doctor, but I am sure that it will go well!

I do not know if it the weight gain or just developing, but he is very close to being able to sit on his own and has started to scoot a little. The scooting is not consistent but it is super super cute. He gets his little bum up in the air and then pulls his body forward.

Happy Half Birthday!!

Judson is 6 months old today and I can not believe it! He is changing so much all the time. He is super smiley all the time, loves to laugh and can roll over from his back to his stomach. He can also roll from his stomach to his back but not consistently. He also can pencil roll, which is super cute! He is so talkative and can hold a pretty good "conversation".

Today is also the first Husker Football game and here are some pictures of Judson in his first Husker wear.

Way to Grow Judson!!

Well Judson and I just got home from Milkworks and... he weighs 13 pounds 11 ounces!!! We are so excited!! It is so good to know that he is should catch up to where he should be soon. Thank you all so much for your prayers. Hopefully this means he will start sleeping through the night again soon.

Go Wizards!

Judson is finally "big" enough to wear his first Kansas City Wizards shirt. Nate made sure we got some pictures and they all turned out so cute. Here are two of them.

UPDATE!

Well Judson is eating so much!! We are back to feeding him six times a day, three of those times are cereal and with two of the cereal feedings he gets a veggie. For now all he has had is green beans but tomorrow we are going to start peas. I am making baby food and so far that is going well too. It is much easier than I had even thought. We may introduce avocado next just because they have a lot of calories and at this point he needs them. But we have not really decided yet. There are so many food that we could give him. That is one great thing about making our own foods...we are not limited to what the store has to offer. I plan on taking Judson to Milkworks today, they have a scale, so that I can weigh him and see if he is gaining any weight with all the food we have been feeding him.
